Ecce Shnak are a New York City art-rock five-piece blending punk, classical composition, pop, and experimental rock into what they call “chamber punk.” Led by composer, bassist, and vocalist David Roush, the band move between jagged riffs, theatrical arrangements, sharp harmonies, and sudden stylistic turns with a sound that is as playful as it is meticulously constructed. Their songs tackle love, sex, death, change, bravery, and everything in between, making Ecce Shnak one of the more unpredictable and singular acts in New York’s experimental rock underground.
