Chat Pile is a noise rock band from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma that formed in 2019. The band’s members use pseudonyms: Raygun Busch (vocals), Luther Manhole (guitar), Stin (bass), and Cap’n Ron (drums). Their music is often described as suffocating, grotesque, and self-parody, and some say it captures the modern dread many people feel. Their sound is said to combine elements of metal, noise rock, and punk, with sludgy basslines, bandsaw guitars, and artificial percussion. Their lyrics explore themes like working class ruin, wage slave madness, and consumers imagining themselves as “human slider combos”.
