DJ Emily Rabbit is a Baltimore-based DJ, promoter, music industry veteran, and longtime champion of the city’s underground music community. With more than two decades in independent music, Rabbit’s career has moved between running record labels, A&R, artist management, live booking, event production, and DJing. Her early work included serving as A&R Director and Label Coordinator at Morphius Records and running RabbitFoot Records & PR, where she helped discover, develop, and release emerging artists. She has also worked in management with artists including The Death Set and Spank Rock, helping connect Baltimore’s fiercely DIY scene with a growing international audience.
As a promoter and creative manager, Em Rabbit has spent years bringing together punk, hip-hop, electronic, experimental, and dance music, booking everything from intimate underground shows to large-scale events. Behind the decks, her sets are similarly wide-ranging, moving through disco, soul, funk, tropicalia, cumbia, indie dance, and other left-field sounds with an emphasis on keeping the room moving.
Today, Em Rabbit is Director of Marketing & Promotions at Metro Baltimore and co-founder and resident DJ of Disco Tropico alongside James Nasty, continuing a career built around discovering artists, creating memorable shows, and strengthening Baltimore’s music community.
