Artist Statement:

They say the only certainties in life are “death” and “taxes”, but I’m going to add two more to that list for myself, and that’s “hardcore” and “homo shit”. In my (almost) 40 years on this planet, the latter two have been the most consistent and unwavering characteristics that have helped define me as a person. It’s not terribly common for these two cultures to overlap, but they are undeniably intertwined in my case.

In this body of work, I hope to show a mashup of these two cultures – heavy tunes, and heavier dudes. Using a mixture of my own photography, flyers, and designs, as well as flyers from shows from over the years (of which are NOT designed by me), I have created pieces that are crude, slightly lewd, and unapologetic. Enjoy.
