Big Brave is a Montreal-based experimental doom metal trio known for their stark minimalism, crushing volume, and emotionally immersive soundscapes. Formed in 2012, the band—led by guitarist and vocalist Robin Wattie alongside guitarist Mathieu Ball and drummer Tasy Hudson—has become a defining force in the modern drone and avant-garde metal scenes. Their music often unfolds slowly and deliberately, blending towering distortion, negative space, and haunting vocals to create an atmosphere that is both meditative and overwhelming.

Across critically acclaimed releases such as Au De La, A Gaze Among Them, and nature morte, Big Brave have earned a reputation for pushing the boundaries of heavy music, incorporating elements of folk, noise, and improvisation into their compositions. Renowned for their intense and transportive live performances, the band continues to captivate audiences worldwide with a sound that is as physically powerful as it is emotionally raw.
