Heavy Temple is a Philadelphia-based doom metal trio known for their riff-driven heaviness, mystical lyricism, and commanding live presence. Formed in 2012 by vocalist/bassist High Priestess Nighthawk, the band channels classic doom influences like Black Sabbath and Sleep while weaving in occult themes and a modern, psychedelic edge. After building a devoted following through relentless touring and a series of EPs, Heavy Temple released their debut full-length album, Lupi Amoris, via Magnetic Eye Records in 2021, earning praise for its crushing grooves and atmospheric depth.
